Google changed its branding to "not just represent the Google of today, but the Google of the future."
You can check out their full story "Google, evolved" by watching their video below.
According to Google, their logo and it's updated identity represent a world of seamless computing across an endless number of devices and different kinds of inputs (such as tap, type and talk).

This month, alongside all the great content we've published on the blog (check the articles below) I've got a super mini download that discusses the importance of having a trusted brand and online presence.
So here it goes…
We've got the Facts!
When Consumers Lose Trust in Your Website It Directly Impacts Your Rankings & Traffic!
MarketingCharts.com shared a study by Neustar on what causes consumers to lose trust in digital brands (yes that's your business on the Internet).
I've listed them for you below, and as you'll see all of them have a direct impact on rankings and search visibility.
So over the month of October, if any of these affect your site… it may be an idea to make a point to fix them and get a nice boost in search visibility and traffic ;-)
1) 91% of consumers do not trust websites with errors or mistakes.
I've published this several times on our blog and in the monthly download.
Fat Content Ranks… and Google absolutely loves it.
It's why we're ranking on the first page for keywords like "Local Ranking Factors" "Local SEO Checklist" "content creation services" without a single link!
Here's a recent blog post where I explain how we're doing this:
https://www.websitesthatsell.com.au/content-creation/blog-post-writing-service/big-content
2) 88% of consumers do not trust website that frequently go down.
This one is an easy fix.
Don't be cheap… yes you can pay for $2 hosting overseas somewhere - but you'll share your site with thousands of other, sometimes questionable websites - it's bad neighbourhoods and you can bet your rankings on it that it's hurting your site right now.
We have dedicated servers, located here in Australia -not only are they fast, they are secure and we constantly back up our sites on 3 different locations to make sure your websites downtime is minimised to next to none ;-)
Our hosting is $25/month or $250 for the year. Send me an email at [email protected] if you'd like to know more.
3) 75% of consumers do not trust website that take too long to load.
In 2014 this was voted as one of the top ranking factors by Search Metric.
You can use a tool called PingDom to check your load speed:
http://tools.pingdom.com
If your site loads around the 10 second mark - you're in trouble.
Just last week, we helped a client get their load times from an average of 6-8 seconds to below 4.
We've also gotten ours down to the 3 second mark as you can see in the image below, but it's something we're constantly working on improving ;-)
The internet moves quick and so do your customers - so make sure your site loads fast.
Again, if you need help with this, get in touch.

Alright so there you have it… remember Google is looking for trust, if your prospects can't trust your site Google won't either.
Hope the above 3 insights will help you make your website more trustworthy.

That's it for me for another month, we'll talk more in October ;-)
Ciao,
